WHEREAS, on August 4, 2022, the TA issued the 2022 Cycle 6 Pedestrian and Bicycle Program Call for Projects; and

WHEREAS, in response to the call for projects, the City requested that the TA provide $100,000 in funds for the El Camino Real Corridor Study (Project); and

WHEREAS, the Project meets the intent of the 2018 Congestion Relief Plan and the TA's Strategic Plan 2020-2024; and

WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco's strategic plan goals include the improvement of quality of life under priority #2; and

WHEREAS, on December 1, 2022, the TA's Board of Directors programmed and allocated up to $100,000 of Measure W funds from the Pedestrian and Bicycle Program Category for the Planning phase of the Project through Resolution 2022-39; and

WHEREAS, the City shall contribute $5,000 in local, state, federal, or other grant matching funds; and

WHEREAS, the City was selected by Caltrans to implement a Complete Streets demonstration project under the Complete Streets Leadership Academy; and

WHEREAS, following the adoption of Call for Projects, SamTrans agreed to augment the budget and reimburse the TA for $43,922 to purchase and loan to the Sponsor temporary bus boarding island platforms, plus $13,000 to install the temporary platforms for a total SamTrans contribution of up to $56,922 toward the Project (SamTrans Funds); and
WHEREAS, the total Project Scope of Work cost is $161,922; and
WHEREAS, the TA, SamTrans, and the City desire to enter into this Agreement to establish the process, terms, and conditions governing the allocation and expenditure of Measure W Funds and reimbursement by SamTra...
