Resolution approving an amendment to the Administrative, Plan Check, and Inspection Services Agreements with CSG Consultants, Inc. and West Coast Code Consultants, Inc., authorizing a two-year extension, and authorizing the City Manager to execute amendments to said agreements on behalf of the City.

WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ("City") Public Works Department is responsible for providing development engineering services consisting of plan check, inspection, and associated administrative services; and
WHEREAS, the level of development engineering services required to accommodate the rate of development is over and above the capabilities of the existing staff; and
WHEREAS, on February 12, 2020, City Council approved consulting services agreements with the firms CSG Consultants, Inc. (CSG) and West Coast Code Consultants, Inc. (WC3); and
WHEREAS, the initial agreements' duration was two (2) years, spanning from March 6, 2020, to March 6, 2022; and
WHEREAS, on Feburary 9, 2022, City Council approved a First Amendment with an additional two (2) year duration spanning from March 6, 2022 to March 6, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Division has recommended a 2-year extension to continue the staff augmentation provided by these agreements; and
WHEREAS, private development review, coordination, and inspection will be funded through permit fees and deposits from the permit applicants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that the City Council hereby approves an extension to the consulting services agreements, attached herewith as Exhibits A and B for municipal engineering services for the City of South San Francisco's land development engineering services, each agreement for a sum not to exceed two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) per fiscal year and for an additional two (2) year term conditioned on CSG Consultants, Inc. and West Coast Code Consultants, Inc. timely execution of the amendme...
