Resolution declaring an unnumbered City-owned parcel on Gull Drive, described as Parcel B of Parcel Map 99-005 of Book of Maps 72, to be surplus to the City’s needs.

WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco (“City”) owns certain real property located in the City of South San Francisco, an unnumbered parcel on Gull Drive, referred to as Assessor’s Parcel Number 015-190-180 (the “Property”); and

 

WHEREAS, the City is authorized to sell, lease, or otherwise dispose of real property if it is no longer required for the purposes of the City; and

 

WHEREAS, the City has determined that the Property is unnecessary for any use by the City; and

 

WHEREAS, the City desires to dispose of the Property; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Surplus Lands Act, Government Code sections 54220 et seq., prior to the disposing of any surplus real property, the City must send a written offer to sell or lease the property for certain specific uses to local public entities and certain private parties.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco:

 

Section 1.  The foregoing recitals are true, correct, and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2.  The City Council of the City of South San Francisco declares the Property to be surplus.

 

Section 3.  The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized and directed to do any and all things and to execute and deliver any and all documents that he may deem necessary or advisable in order to comply with the Surplus Lands Act and market the Property for sale.

 

Section 4.  This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
