Staff recommends that the Planning Commissioners nominate and vote to approve a Chair and Vice Chair for the Planning Commission.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Planning Commission elects a Chair and Vice Chair at the first regular meeting held in the year, to serve for the calendar year. As such, staff is requesting that the Commissioners nominate and elect a Chair and Vice Chair for 2026.
CONCLUSION
Under Chair Sarah Funes’ leadership, the Planning Commission meetings have been organized, thoughtful and efficient. Staff congratulates and thanks Chair Funes for her efforts and leadership. As stated above, staff recommends the nomination and appointment of a new Chair and Vice Chair for the Planning Commission.
