Resolution authorizing the City Manager or their designee to execute a one-year professional services contract with the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce for enhanced economic development support services for a scope of work in the amount of $25,000.

WHEREAS, the South San Francisco business community benefits from strong partnerships and collaboration amongst local business advocate organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”) supports local businesses with a variety of offerings, including business promotions, industry collaboration, networking events, and information referrals to its members; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to contract with the Chamber to provide enhanced economic development services to augment City staff in the delivery of City programs and development of City policies; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber has the expertise and business community connections to provide these enhanced economic development services; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Division has sufficient operating budget to support the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby authorize the City Manager or their designee to execute a one-year professional services agreement with the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce for a scope of work in the amount of $25,000, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit 1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the waiver of any applicable City facility fees to carry out the intent of the scope of work selected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager may take further action consistent with the intent of this Resolution, including, but not limited to, approval of any edits to the draft scope of work.
