Recommendation

It is recommended that the Youth Commission discuss Commissioner Lee’s proposal for an intergenerational Storytime.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

At the April 6^th, 2026 Youth Commission meeting, Commissioner Lee suggested an intergenerational Storytime to address the loneliness crisis in San Mateo County among older adults, possibly in September to align with National Grandparents’ Day on September 13^th, 2026.
