Body
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ("City") has an ongoing Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program (BPMP) for the sixteen (16) vehicle bridges that are under the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Bridge Inspection Program. The BPMP was created to help local agencies extend the life of their bridges by performing certain activities that have been preapproved by the Federal Highway Administration; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ("City") staff applied for and, in 2026, received Program Supplemental Agreement No. F028 Revision 3 from Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is eligible to receive Federal and/or State funding for certain Transportation Projects, through the California Department of Transportation and;
WHEREAS, Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements and/or Fund Transfer Agreements need to be executed with the California Department of Transportation before such funds could be claimed and;
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco wishes to delegate authorization to execute these agreements and any amendments thereto to the City Manager or authorized designee to execute all Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements, Fund Transfer Agreements and any amendments thereto with the California Department of Transportation.
