Discussion of Teen Poetry Slam on April 30th in Celebration of National Poetry Month (Robert Leiva)

BACKGROUND
The Library is planning on hosting a teen poetry slam at 6pm on Thursday, April 30th in the Young Adult Room in celebration of National Poetry Month. It will be the first performance for the 2026 SSF Youth Poet-in-Residence. Program applicants who were not selected as the winner will be invited to perform too. Depending on capacity, the library may also open it up to other teen poets in the community. Additionally, blackout poetry will serve as a supplemental activity that night.
