It is recommended that the Cultural Arts Commission discuss the option for cancellation of November/December 2026 Cultural Arts Commission meetings.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Historically, staff agendizes this item as an opportunity for the Commission to consider cancellation of regular Cultural Arts Commission meetings scheduled during the holiday season. This offer is common across all boards and commissions as cancellations allow Commissioners to take time off for extra holiday and year end commitments without it being counted as a meeting absence. The November regular Cultural Arts Commission meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2026 and the December regular Cultural Arts Commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 22, 2026.
At time of this report, no time sensitive action items are currently scheduled for these months.
CONCLUSION
The Cultural Arts Commission is invited to discuss their options and provide staff with direction. A motion and vote is requested to approve the Commission’s decision.
