Resolution accepting $100,000 from the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety for the “Selective Traffic Enforcement Program” to be used for personnel overtime, equipment, and training expenses and to amend the Police Department’s Operating Budget for fiscal year 2025-26 by approving Budget Amendment Number 26.016.

WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $100,000 for personnel overtime, equipment, and training expenses from the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the “Selective Traffic Enforcement Program”; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant funding will be used to augment the operating budget of the Police Department for Fiscal Year 2025-26.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby accepts the $100,000 grant from the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety and amends the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Police Department’s Operating Budget to reflect an increase of $100,000.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve Budget Amendment Number 26.016.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a grant agreement, and any other necessary documents on behalf of the City to carry out the intent of this resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
