Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Uniform Services Agreement with Cintas to provide uniform services for the Public Works Maintenance, Parks and Facilities, and Water Quality Control Plant Divisions, in a form approved by the City Attorney.

WHEREAS, City staff in the Maintenance, Water Quality, and Parks Divisions require reliable and safety-compliant uniforms to perform their duties; and
WHEREAS, each division currently manages its own uniform services and account administration; and
WHEREAS, in a collaborative effort, the divisions jointly evaluated vendors and selected Cintas as the new citywide provider that offers improved quality, safety, and customer service; and
WHEREAS, the new services agreement with Cintas will serve all three divisions under a single contract while allowing each division to retain management of its own service needs; and
WHEREAS, the agreement will be established for a 36-month term, with an annual not-to-exceed amount of $215,000; and
WHEREAS, the agreement provides for an annual increase not to exceed three percent (3%) as set forth in the agreement, with the contract to be reviewed annually and with the option to renew for additional years; and
WHEREAS, funding for uniform services has been included in the Fiscal Year 2025-26 operating budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a uniform services agreement with Cintas for the Public Works Maintenance, Water Quality, and Parks and Facilities Divisions, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
