Resolution accepting $7,750 from the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety, for the “Traffic Records Improvement Project” (TRIP) to pay for software, service, and technical support and to amend the Police Department’s Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 by approving Budget Amendment 21.012.

WHEREAS, in January 2020, the Police Department submitted a grant application to the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the purchase of software, service and technical support for the Traffic Records Improvement Project (TRIP); and

 

WHEREAS, the grant application was reviewed and approved by OTS in August 2020 and the Police Department was awarded a grant for $7,750; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant funding will be used to augment the operating budget of the Police Department for Fiscal Year 2020-21, for the purchase of software, service and technical support relating to traffic collision reporting procedures; and

 

WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $7,750 for the purchase of software, service and technical support from the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the “Traffic Records Improvement Project”.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts the $7,750 grant from the State of California, OTS and amends the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Police Department Operating Budget through Budget Amendment 21.012 in order to reflect an increase of $7,750.
