RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Commission will determine which commissioners will participate in the “survey” ad hoc committee
Body
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the June 15, 2026 commission meeting, commissioners voted and approved the creation of a survey/questionnaire campaign ad hoc committee. The purpose of the committee would be to develop a strategic process for engaging participation in the commission’s revised survey. This survey would primarily be distributed at community events by commissioners who are in attendance but could also be available on the City’s website. The format for the survey is as follows:
Do you live in SSF (proceed or not)?
Date
Event
1. What services/events/programs are lacking in SSF?
2. What do you like most/least about living in SSF? Why?
3. What motivated you to come to this event?
4. What is your preferred method of communication/how did you hear about this event?
5. Do you have a feeling of belonging (have a voice) in SSF? Why or why not?
6. Do you feel safe (physically/being yourself) in SSF? Why or why not?
7. Is there anything that you would like to share that has not already been discussed?
To stay in compliance of the Brown Act, this ad hoc committee cannot exceed three commissioners.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the Commission will determine which commissioners will participate in the “survey” ad hoc committee.
