Recommendation
It is recommended that the Cultural Arts Commission be apprised of the proposed 2027 Art Gallery Show details prepared by the Subcommittee of the Cultural Arts Commission.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
City staff met with the Art Gallery Show subcommittee and set the details for the 2027 shows. The subcommittee reviewed feedback gathered from the survey that the Commission participated in, where input was requested on potential art show theme ideas. The following has been proposed for the 2026 Gallery Shows:
February Art Show
Theme/Focus: Between the Bay and the Hills
Opening Weekend Dates: February 5 & 6, 2027
Summer Art Show
Theme/Focus: Open Exhibit | No Theme
Opening Weekend Dates: July 9 & 10, 2027
October Art Show
Theme/Focus: When We Gather
Opening Weekend Dates: October 22 & 23, 2027
As a reminder, the 2027 Youth Art Show is held in partnership with the South San Francisco Unified School District, no themes are required from the Commission. The Youth Art Show is scheduled for either March or April of 2027.
CONCLUSION
The Cultural Arts Commission is invited to discuss the proposed 2027 Art Gallery Shows and consider a motion to approve the recommended themes and details.
