Resolution approving an extension agreement with Turbo Data Systems, Inc., for parking citation processing, adjudication services, traffic citation processing, and issuance of equipment for a nine (9) month term expiring March 31, 2027, in total amount not to exceed $56,250 and authorizing the City Manager or authorized designee to execute the agreement.

WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ("City") entered into an agreement with Turbo Data Systems, Inc. for parking citation processing, adjudication services, traffic citation processing and issuance of equipment on July 1, 2021, attached to this resolution as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the agreement is set to terminate on June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and local agencies, including the City, are in the process of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for parking and moving citation processing and adjudication services; web-based information management; and records and case management for San Mateo County agencies with a decision expected to be made by December 2026; and
WHEREAS, based on the continued RFP process, Turbo Data Systems, Inc. has offered an extension of the current agreement and would continue to serve the City of South San Francisco's needs until the RFP process is completed; and
WHEREAS, services provided by Turbo Data Systems, Inc. include citation processing and collection by mail, telephone, or website; issuance of multiple reminder notices; placing of DMV holds; appeals and administrative adjudication services; optional advanced collection efforts; and leasing of Turbo Data Systems, Inc.'s mobile ticket writers; and
WHEREAS, both parties wish to extend the current agreement to continue to provide citation processing and payment and adjudication services for the City of South San Francisco for the term of July 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $56,250; and
