Title

Resolution allocating $190,000 in Community Development Block Grant Program Year 2025-2026 Public Improvement Funding for the CDBG Ramps and Paths Project and approving associated budget amendment 26.012

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is committed to improving pedestrian accessibility and mobility for all road users; and

 

WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Ramps and Paths Project (st2506) was developed to construct curb ramps and paths at over 80 locations citywide, enhancing accessibility and safety; and

 

WHEREAS, the estimated cost to construct the Project is $1,051,980.78; and

 

WHEREAS, on December 11, 2024, the City Council allocated $861,980.78 in prior-year CDBG Action Plans toward these public improvements; and

 

WHEREAS, the City is proposing to allocate an additional $190,000 from CDBG Program Year 2025-2026 Public Improvement to complete the full scope of the project.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the foregoing recitals are true and correct and made a part of this Resolution.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco:

 

1.                     Approves the allocation of $190,000 from CDBG PY25-26 Public Improvement to the CDBG Ramps and Paths Project (st2506) to construct curb ramps and pedestrian paths at various locations throughout the City; and

2.                     Approves Budget Amendment Number 26.012 to adjust projected revenues and expenditures and update the Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 2025-26 accordingly; and

3.                     Authorizes the City Manager or designee to take any other actions necessary to effectuate the purpose of this Resolution that do not materially increase the City’s obligations, including execution of any agreements for other documents, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
