Resolution authorizing the City Manager or authorized designee to execute an update of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Version 16 for the 2026-2027 School Year between the City of South San Francisco and the South San Francisco Unified School District regarding the School Liaison Officer program.

WHEREAS, the City Council received a report on the status of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of South San Francisco and the South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD); and
WHEREAS, the term of the MOU is considered for renewal by both the City of South San Francisco and the SSFUSD for each successive fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the only proposed updates for the MOU are the new expiration date of June 30, 2027, and the updated school year in the title (2026-2027).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Manager or authorized designee is authorized to approve Version 16 of the reported status of the MOU between the City of South San Francisco and the SSFUSD.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of South San Francisco or authorized designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute the renewal Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the City of South San Francisco in substantially the same form as Exhibit A, subject as to form by the City Attorney and to take action consistent with the intent of this Resolution.
